If you could choose a different name for yourself, what would it be?

I think I would go with Giselle, Ava, or Phoebe…..something a bit more off the beaten path than Nancy.

If you could institute any frivolous law, what would it be?

Food and drink consumed in the company of family and good friends would have absolutely no caloric value.

Fist bump, high five, handshake or hug?

Handshake first time around…hugs from then on.

If the office was a box of crayons, what color crayon would you be?

I would like to be Sunset Orange. Sunset Orange is a warm, complex, joyful color.  It is oddly full of energy but yet sort of restful and reassuring too, like the sunset at the end of the day.

What is your greatest guilty pleasure?

A delicious, well prepared margarita with a salted rim.

What is the most bizarre thing that has happened to you on a business trip?

Nancy and I went to a convention for employees of NPC to participate in a vendor show at Orange Beach, AL.  We had a couple of hours to kill so we decided we would lay in the sun by the pool.  So there we are, in bathing suits, in April (you can imagine how we would already be rockin’ a super tan, not).  Well, we end up getting chairs right in the pathway of where all the people participating in the convention walked single file within two feet of us.  Five hundred or more of our customers trailed past us.  I told Nancy not to move.  I figured playing dead was our best defense.  How embarrassing!!  No worries though, my lanyard said “hello, my name is Susan Zehnder.” I had taken her place at the last minute. HA!!

I don’t think I’ve ever used one, but my husband picked me up by saying to me, “Hey, are you gonna be stuck-up or are you gonna talk to me?” We celebrated our 20th anniversary this year.
