An Intern's Point of View

I started my internship by helping Jessica coordinate a wedding at Huber’s Winery. From that very first day in May, I knew that this summer was going to be one to remember. At the time, I didn’t realize that I would so easily fall in love with this career. I began getting more involved with different events at ED, and my love quickly grew for event planning. I even found myself really enjoying the little things about the events, like setting up linens, placing centerpieces, creating event worksheets, and even cleaning out votives at the end of a successful event! There was not one day this summer where I didn’t enjoy what I was doing.

The staff at ED has made a huge impact on my amazing internship experience. Everyone has been incredibly kind and welcoming since the moment I walked in to the office on my first day. I have been able to build relationships with these women and I am genuinely sad to leave. The ED staff is built of very successful people who have inspired me to work even harder this next school year, with hopes of one day becoming as prosperous as them.

Who would have thought that after a few short months I would have fallen completely in love with the event planning field? I started my summer, and this internship, not knowing exactly what I wanted to do after my graduation in one short year. Essential Details has not only given me great experience in the career field of event planning, but they have also assisted me in finding my dream job.
